Project: KUT2TUK
Well, I guess I should probably start a thread about my project. I have probably been bugging Joel will all the ideas and whatnots for damn near 2 years now.
Most of people on here know of my Ranger, its the one that is a charcoal satin, with the black 20`s. The truck has been fun, but I thought it was time to step it up just a tad. So here is the plan, lets lay body on 22`s: To get the rockers on the ground, Mindliss Metal Fab will be building a full bumper to bumper custom chassis. The horrid i-beams will be tossed in the dumpster, and replaced with one-off Mindliss Metal control arms, rack and pinion steering, and Wilwood spindles. The rear suspension will consist of laser cut back-half, parallel 4-link, watts-link, and cantilever set-up which will use the new SS7 air bags that Slam Specialties has provided. The chassis will roll on TSW Jarama wheels which are 22x9 in the front, and 22x10.5. In order to stop those big rollers, the brakes have been upgraded to 6-piston Wilwood fronts, and 4-piston Willwood rears. RCD valved Bilstein remote reservoir shocks will keep things smooth while on the road. This build will be followed as a tech article in SSM`s online magazine, and my buddy Corey at COJO Photography has lent his services to document the build. Just wanted to toss a big shout out to the following people for all their help. SLAM SPECIALTIES MINDLISS METAL FAB COJO PHOTOGRAPHY Well I guess that's enough chit-chat for now, time to introduce KUT2TUK:

Well like everyone knows, one of first steps to a project is the tear down. Now normally when you SFBD a truck, you use the actual truck thats having the work done to it.......well that doesn`t work in our case, so I bought a Ranger in Peg-City for Mindliss to use, which has since been named Ice Cream.
Here are a few shots of Ice Cream begin torn-apart in the Mindliss Metal Fab shop: ![]() ![]() ![]() After the tear-down, the remains of Ice Cream were set-up as a Jig on the Mindliss frame table: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

UPDATE:
Without a doubt, one of the most difficult section of this build is the front suspension. Mindliss Metal has completed engineered and designed the suspension to lay out on 22's. With the design work done, ride height has been set at 5" above the deck, with only 5 degrees of negative camber when laid-out, and the suspension travels to a full 11 of lift, with things locked out at +1 degree of camber. Joel's playing for keeps on this one! ![]()

rendering looks good designs look good. but for what its worth you might wanna come up with a new project name only because there's already a past minitruckin feature truck (actually a ranger) that had that name. just dont wanna see some people bust your balls down the road.
