I believe its actually a 61. You are right its the 61 body but they had like 2000 or something roofs left kickin around the plant when the finished the 61 build so they had to do something with them. They just added them to the first 2000 62's out there

well just ordered my new harness, digital dash, billet gas pedal, billet throttle cable, getting custom rad made, electric fan. last on my list of things to figure out is my power steering issue and order rims!!
engine bay completely ripped apart right now. gonna start shaving the firewall. Question for some of you bodywork guys out there. i got some small dimples in the firewall and one long seam across the firewall that i want to fill. what should i do to repair these, I think welding them in and grinding down would be the best but some people have said use a short strand fibreglass to fill them and skim coat with body filler after that. give me your opinions. pic's coming once the parts start arriving and firewall shaving begins. |

Or Basically, weld it 'cause it's easier to do now than to tare it down again to fix popped filler.

ya i agree with the last statement also was just curious on what other people thought. i think i'll probably just fill the dimples with weld as well as the seam. the car is bagged so it never leaves the ground just lays on the ground but i don't feel like redoing the firewall again if the filler cracks down the road.

Well not much to update right now, stripped everything off the firewall. Petros came by and is doing the body work on the firewall for me as i don't trust my shotty bodywork skills enough to do it myself. lol
Got my Painless Harness and Dakota Digital Dash last week as well as Flex-A-Lite Electric Fan, Lokar Billet Gas Pedal and throttle cable. Here's a link to the pic's of some of the work and the parts i got. Hopefully by next weekend i'll have the firewall painted and the new engine/trans in the engine bay. then time to wire the beast!! scroll the album the newest pic's are on the first 2 pages. http://s13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...la%20pics/ |
