His truck goes from the switchbox 12v source to a highbeem switch from an old chevy van or truck mounted on the floor by your foot, then from the switch right to the fuse box! simple

Cadillacs had it too up untill the late late 80's. Midnight has abunch of 80's caddy's so the switch should be easy to find. hope that helps.

when i had my cougar i had to go for an inspection. i put bump stops in before i went in and hooked up a switch ti turn my switch box off. the only thing they got me on was my switch box in the driver compartment. so i took out the rear seat and moved it to the trunk and then they said it was good to go. little did they know that i had 4 switches under my ashtray cover. lol

Pretty sure it's a non-issue having your switchbox in your driver compartment...Joel- can you confirm this?

im not totally sure, the cop asked me where mine was and its right beside me and never said anything about where it was placed. Mine sits in my center console and all he asked was is it fastened down.

If they are going to start the whole complaining about "securement of objects" bullshit then i'll be pissed off, whose to say that a water bottle or a cell phone won't kill someone in a high speed crash??

On that note 4 days and counting calling the inspections line BOTH the office and cell with no answer, and no call back...

For those of you that are having problems getting through to the inspections office.

Call this number 985-7007. Thats the number for Paul Marcoux, he is head of Inspections, he's located at the plessis compound.

A water bottle falling out of your lap and onto the floor isn't going to slam the front end of your truck down while your driving 100 km/Hr on the highway, most likely causing some sort of fairly large accident.

No but a water bottle can roll under the brake and cause you not being able to stop.... or at high impact can get thrown into either the driver or passenger... right? anything can become a projectile.

Finally got a hold of the inspections officer on the cell at 794-4711

According to him if the vehicle isn't inspected by the date on the procedure form, they will pull the insurance throw a mark on the VIN, which causes you to need to have it re-safetied by an MPI accredited shop and presented to the MPI mechanic for inspection, THEN to the WPS again

Looks like I should get the remaining items done tonight... and re-inspected tomorrow or this could be a BIG headache... Shouldn't be a problem.

They are pretty relaxed about meeting places as long as you call a head of time.
