1st Gen S10 - Fix Your Wiper PCB

Ever have your windshield wipers turn on, and not turn off, or turn on randomly? You probably have a broken track on your Wiper PCB.

Here's how to fix it.

take the little black plastic case off (should be 1 screw/bolt) unplug the harness, and the PCB should just slide right out.

after careful inspection, I noticed I had a broken track.

the track is in the upper corner, opposite the plug.

what i did was scratched up the track a bit, to get the coating off it, so solder would stick to it. then i grabbed my soldering pen, and bridged the gap with solder.

put it back together, and she worked perfect! been going strong for 8 months now, and no problems.

beats getting a new one, or even a used one that could have this issue.
